Magic Salt and Watercolor Snowflake

Painting with salt is like doing a magic trick! โœจ When you add color, you can see it slowly climb up the tiny salt crystals. It looks so cool and exciting!

Little kids can make fun scribbles and shapes. Bigger kids can try drawing animals ๐Ÿถ, letters ๐Ÿ”ค, flowers ๐ŸŒธ, or even people!

  • Paper or canvas
  • Glue bottle
  • Table salt
  • Liquid watercolors
  • Paintbrush or pipette (dropper)
  • Newspaper or paper bags (to keep the table clean)

Step 1

Take your glue bottle and draw any design you like on the paper. Be creative!

Place your paper on a tray. Sprinkle salt all over the glue. Shake the paper gently to remove extra salt.

Wait about 20 minutes for the glue to dry a little. (If you want it faster, ask an adult to help use a hair dryer on warm.)
