Let’s make a super cool jumping frog using just paper!
The best part? You probably already have everything you need at home!
🎒 What You Need:
- 🟩 A square piece of paper
- 🎨 Crayons, pens, or paints (to decorate)
- 🪵 A flat table or surface
🐸 Let’s Make Your Frog!
1️⃣ Fold in Half
Fold your square paper in half to make a rectangle.
👉 If your paper has color on one side, keep the color on the outside.
Press the fold nice and tight!
2️⃣ Fold the Top Corners
Take the top two corners and fold them down one at a time.
Then open them back up. (These folds help later!)
3️⃣ Make a Triangle Top
Turn your paper over.
Gently push the sides inward so the corner folds meet in the middle.
Press it flat.
Now your paper has a triangle at the top!
4️⃣ Fold the Bottom Up
Fold the bottom square part up so it touches the bottom of the triangle.
5️⃣ Fold the Sides
Take one triangle flap and fold it to the other side.
Fold the side of the paper into the middle and crease it.
Open it back up.
Now do the same thing on the other side.
6️⃣ Fold Up Again
Fold the bottom edge up to the triangle again.
Now fold the two top corners down diagonally.
7️⃣ Make a Boat Shape
Open the folds you just made and gently pull the corners out.
It should look like a little boat shape.
8️⃣ Fold to the Middle
Fold the corners of the boat shape into the center.
9️⃣ Make Frog Legs
Fold all four flaps upward.
These are your frog’s legs! 🦵🐸
🔟 Fold in Half
Fold your frog in half.
Then fold the top edge back slightly.
1️⃣1️⃣ Flip It Over
Turn your paper over…
🎉 You made a jumping origami frog!
🎨 Decorate Your Frog
Draw eyes, a smile, or spots.
You can even decorate it like your favorite frog species!
🐸 Make It Jump!
Press down on the back of your frog and let go quickly.
